Chee-Yin, a anatomic pathologist, has devoted himself to pathology research since he was graduated from medical school in 1986. His current research focuses on arsenic carcinogenesis in urothelial neoplasm. And intended to clarify the molecular mechanisms of arsenic-mediated urothelial carcinoma. During these years, He has published relevant articles in academic journals. He recently demonstrated that aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH) protein was up-regulated in arsenic-treated rat bladder epithelium. Expression of ALDH protein was significantly higher in urothelial carcinoma patients from arsenic-contaminated areas than those from non- arsenic-contaminated areas.
